On a road trip to Wayanad, you will mostly be driving through national parks or by the tea or coffee plantations. A district consisting of forests, wildlife sanctuaries, mountains, and umpteen plantations, Wayanad stays green throughout the year. Considered to be the best time to visit, the temperature in winters here do not rise above 25 degrees. Just right to explore the wildlife or to trek up to the Chembra peak, the highest in the district. Wayanad is one of the best places to spot wild elephants, keep an eye out for them when on the road.

2. Kochi – Alleppey:
A quiet, laid back retreat into the backwaters of Alleppey and a doze of art, and culture in the colonial Kochi – this combination brings out the best of traditional Kerala! Make sure you explore the colonial streets of Kochi for all the cute cafes and old churches, and beaches you can. Also to satiate all the art lovers out there, Kochi – Muziris Biennale is going on till the 29th March. Take a stroll there before you set out set out for Alleppey backwaters.
